Announcing Molly O Designs' Youngest Female Executive

At Molly O Designs, we are all about promoting women to the fullest extent possible. That is why we are excited to announce the promotion of our youngest female executive to the position of Vice President of Customer Service. We thought it was time that someone with a take charge attitude and a willingness to please the customer was in charge.

When placing an order at Molly O Designs, you may be greeted with a flurry of dada, dada, juice pleeeese. But don't worry, it is under control. Your order will be processed as soon as Ms. Orr has finished with her morning snack and coloring activity. It is this focus and drive that landed her a position at Molly O Designs (and don't tell anyone but she might have a connection to the boss!).

So it is with great excitement and anticipation that we introduce Ms. Orr, VP Customer Service, Molly O Designs

It's all about the Shoes!!!

Which came first, the outfit or the shoes? The shoes of course! The amazing design group I am a part of, Bijou & Co. (search BJAC on ebay) is getting ready for another ebay launch. The theme this time? "It's all about the Shoes". Each designer is creating an outfit based on an adorable pair of shoes. I have seen a sneak peak of some of the designs and they are so adorable!!!

I have to admit that I am buried in orders and won't have as many pieces to launch this time around. However, I have the cutest pair of boys shoes and a design in my head that I am determined to bring to life! So keep your fingers crossed that I can find enough time (and fabric) to create a studly little design for the boys. Imagine Euro GQ meets argyle. So cute! Maybe I will even post a sneak peak of the shoes just to see if there is an interest. That is as soon as I remember to charge my camera battery. So much to sew, so little time.

Now Available at Sparklin Lil Stars!

We have recently been asked by http://www.sparklinlilstars.com/ children's boutique to carry the Molly O Designs fall 2007 line. Up until this point, I have turned down requests by boutiques to carry our one-of-a-kind children's designs simply because I didn't feel like it was a good business fit. But, http://www.sparklinlilstars.com/ fits my business vision and strategy for http://www.mollyodesigns.com/ and I felt like it would be a great partnership! Sure enough, as soon as they posted the Molly O Halloween set, the custom orders came in.

I'm truly looking forward to expanding my business with them further. Right now I'm trying to focus on getting all my custom fall and Christmas orders out so I can then start creating high end custom boutique designs for Spring 08. I have tons of ideas sketched on paper, I just need to turn them into a reality! So stay tuned!!!

Pay It Forward!

I've been so blessed lately to have some wonderful people cross my path. Each has openly and freely given me advice on the workings of the design industry. They have been generous and so sweet!

First, I want to acknowledge Jan Rousseaux of House of Rousseaux! She is truly becoming a mentor to me. We were introduced by a mutual friend and are working on a wonderful charity together http://www.hopeforhearts.net/

She has so much knowledge and experience. She too started her design career as a stay at home mom. She began sewing out of her home and in the years since has dressed the runways of New York, designed couture and ready to wear. Her latest venture is a line of gorgeous and chic Christmas stockings. I will post photos as soon as we have them (we are doing a photoshoot together tomorrow!). You will be blown away by how gorgeous and luxurious they are! Needless to say she is truly an inspiration to me both in career and faith.

Secondly, I also want to say a special thanks to Kimberly Mac. Another couture designer whom I met through Jan :) Small world! She is in the process of moving and gifted to me the most amazing fabric chest. I can't even describe this piece other then to say it is enormous! I can't tell you how excited I am to have ALL my fabric in one place. This custom chest stands 6ft. tall and 64 inches wide. That's right, for those of you that design/sew you know that I can store entire bolts of fabric in these drawers! We adopted this piece on Sat. and all 8 drawers are already full! Kimberly also shared gorgeous fabrics with me that she had collected from around the world. I can not wait to start designing with them! Kimberly has done extensive couture work but most recently launched a new menswear line with http://www.muifina.com/

So the moral of this post is theconcept of helping each other. As I always say, there is more then enough business to go around. So share your knowledge and talents. You never know when the favor will be payed forward to you.

Paris Chic and Tea Roses

I just listed 10 new auctions as part of my launch with the lovely ladies of Bijou & Co. (search BJAC on ebay). I decided to try something new this time and launch a line all inspired by one fabric. So I've listed 8 pieces that can all be purchased seperately, but worn together in a variety of mix and match options. Take a peek..........................

If you love the more traditional "Shabby Chic" look, then you need to check out my Sister set that is made out of a romantic pink and brown floral material. Whether you have one little girl or four, these outfits are perfect!

Halloween Already?

I know it seems a little early for Halloween, but I swear it will be here before you know it. Plus, you have to plan ahead if you want to have pictures taken of your little pumpkin and in the hands of the granparents before Halloween is actually here. So I thought I would list at least one Halloween custom to kick start the season.

This set can be worn as a costume or a party dress. Plus, it comes with an adorable appliqued euro tshirt that you can throw on with jeans after the party. Go ahead, take a peek. You know you want to!

It's about time!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to create a blog! Am I the last person in the technical world to hop on the blogging bandwagon? That may be, but at least I am here with a purpose.

As my customer base begins to span the US and a few various parts of the world, many have asked how they can keep up to date with my newest designs. Instead of bombarding all of you with constant e-newsletters, I thought creating a blog would be the perfect avenue to introduce my newest designs. Plus, I can give you a sneak peak into what is in the pipeline for the next season!

I have a new launch appearing on ebay starting July 10th. All my pieces have been designed with the idea of transitioning from summer to fall in mind. Is it too early to think about fall? It will be here before you know it! Each set of designs include all the pieces you will need to keep your cutie looking chic by mixing and matching short and long sleeve with pants, dresses or skirts! The photos are being shot this week, so maybe you will even get a little preview of what is to come.

So, stay tuned! Add me to your favorites and check back often!
